Bot Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Word Bomb Dictionary Bot collects and how it’s used. We keep things simple — the bot only collects what it needs to work.

1.What We Don’t Collect

Let’s start with what the bot does not do:

• It does not read or store your server messages
• It does not track what you say in voice channels
• It does not collect your IP address
• It does not share your data with advertisers

2.What We Collect on Your Server

When the bot is added to your server, we only collect:

• Search channel configuration — which channels are set up for word search
• Search count — how many searches are made per server (no personal data attached)
• Search queries — the words users look up in search channels

That’s all. The bot does not collect any other data from your server.

3.What We Collect on the Official Word Bomb Server

On Word Bomb’s official Discord server, the bot collects additional data to support game features:

• Discord profile info — your user ID, username, and avatar (provided by Discord)
• Game statistics — scores, wins, play time, words claimed, match history
• Moderation data — tickets, reports, and mod notes (mod notes expire after 1 year)
• Word contributions — dictionary suggestions and word removals

4.How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide word search results on your server
• Track search channel settings per server
• Provide game features like leaderboards, statistics, and word tracking (official server only)
• Handle moderation and community safety (official server only)
• Improve the bot and fix bugs

5.Data Retention

The bot does not store any personal data that needs to be manually deleted. All server-related data (search channel configurations, search counts) automatically expires after 7 days.

6.Age Requirements

The bot follows Discord’s age requirements. You must be at least 13 years old to use Discord and, by extension, this bot. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

7.Updates

We may update this policy as the bot evolves. Significant changes will be announced through our Discord server.
